Good Ole' American Way

June is so busy for us! We have Jace, Maisy, and my birthday's. And our Anniversary at the end of the month. We've noticed that we are really busy and spend lots of money always in June. :(

We went to see Maisy for our visit we do every year for her 6th birthday in June. I've noticed a lot of different things and learned many new things about her that I didn't know before.
She loveesss raspberries! Me too! She is a fish :) Quite an excellent one too. She is not tickle-ish. :/
Weird, I only know one other person who is not tickle-ish............ME! Strange. This little girl is growing up. She is so independent. Loves to pick out her own outfits and do her hair. Climbs monkey bars pretty well. Has a million swimming suits and loves to mix and match them. Still loves Justin Bieber too (hehe). It's so cute, I'll catch her starring at Jace and me as if she is analyzing us. I wonder what she could be thinking of.

I've also been trying to be more active. I learned I love hiking. But, since having Maison I noticed it is super hard! I am out of shape. I'm always the one struggling and trailing behind. I hate that part of it. My goal is to be able to hike up a mountain and not stop. Apparently I am far from that goal.

This past month we have been learning that Maison really enjoys eating anything that you are eating. Snowies, cantelope, peaches, bread, and pretty much whatever else we will smoosh up and feed him.

5-6-5-6

It's been a couple months since my last post and I swear I kept thinking life will slow down a bit and I will be able to write. FALSE. I just keep getting busier and busier. I can never remember a time in my life where I have been this busy. Here is a fast version of a few things that have happened.
Maison has got me tied up. This little boy is tough. He recently learned how to scream for no reason really loud and also grunting. It's so funny when he grunts because you can see his whole body tense up. I don't really know why he does this but it could be he is frustrated because he can't communicate with us.
I'm trying to learn a few simple sign language signs so I can try to communicate with this boy and maybe help this communication gap that we have. Hopefully he will start to understand.
Maison also has started to roll over onto his tummy to sleep. A couple nights I have had to check on him and make sure he is still breathing because he will almost lay completely on his face. How that is comfy I don't know.
Oh this little boy is just like his daddy. He loves being outside. He is so alert and curious about his surroundings. I know he will love exploring with me just as soon as he is old enough.
Yesterday was Father's Day and my birthday and also a very hot hot day. Lovely day for bbq's. Maison's first real day in the sun. He was grumpy!!
The day before my birthday we went to Rodizio Grill in SLC with Beth and Alex and a movie. So much fun. I never will eat chicken heart again! Gross. The best thing they had were roasted tomatoes with parmesan cheese that were so delicious. Great birthday :)

New cars, new jobs, Maison {4mo}

Wow what a month it has been! We have numerous life changes this past month! First off Jace started a new job that he is loving at England Logistics. He is called a Capacity Manager (whatever that is haha). So far it seems so perfect for him. Sales. Yep that's what he is good at :)
We also have 2 new additions to our family- mazda and dodge. Loving them both!
As for me, I have recently quit my awesome job to start a new job being a full time mommy! It has been an adjustment. As we are learning we have a "high maintenance" baby. It's been tough but I think I am finally getting the hang of it. Mase and I are becoming great pals. It's such a wonderful feeling seeing him learn and grow each day. We made Maison literally LOL recently. Can you guess how?? Of course it had to be from fart noises! We sure had him cracking up. So darn cute!
The other day we took Mase in to get his 4 month check up which included shots and let me tell you it was not good. Maison screamed the second we lay him on the table and continued to scream whenever we were not holding him. It only got worse the second those poor nurses stuck him in his legs. SCREAM! The nurses handed Maison back so fast it was hilarious. They said they had never heard a baby scream so much before. Jace and I looked at each other with a look like "really"? So since it's becoming evident to us and others how high maintenance Maison is I start to wonder if this is how Maisy was as a baby. Hmmmm, good question to ask Lance and Suzanne.

Wow what a whirlwind these last three months have been. I just want to sigh a little bit because Maison no longer has colic!!! Woohoo! I never thought we would make it through!
Mase is getting so big and is starting to fill out pretty nicely in his onesies. He definitely loves our attention right now. He loves to smile and talk when people talk to him. So not shy. He recently discovered his fingers and is starting to turn into a slobbery little boy (gross ;)).
We thought we could try and get him to start sleeping in his porta crib that we have for him but after a few unnecessary sleepless nights we decided we just want sleep and who cares if he likes to fall asleep in his swing. What works now works for us.
Jace just started his new job yesterday and it has been crazy trying to juggle everything. How do two working parents do this? Is it weird that I still get sad when I have to drop him off with family members when I go to work (It's been over a month)?
He hates his car seat. Every time he has to get in the car seat it's a battle.
I love this beautiful baby more and more each day.
